The Ibe- Sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West LGA of Delta State, Chief Sheriff Mulade, has felicitated with a former Niger Delta militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo alias Tompolo on his 48th birthday anniversary.
Mulade, an environmental rights activist, described Tompolo who also hails from Gbaramatu Kingdom as a living hero and a pride of the Niger Delta people and commended the celebrant for his love for the oil-rich region.
In a statement on Friday, Comrade Mulade noted that Tompolo is the bridge between ancient and modern Ijaw tradition and Culture
Tompolo, who is the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, turns 49 on April 12th, 2020.
Chief Mulade who is also the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ wishes Tompolo a happy and glamorous birthday celebration, adding that he has always kept the flare of Ijaw tradition alive in Gbaramatu Kingdom and beyond.

Chief Mulade acknowledged Tompolo as a strong force to be reckoned with in the history of Niger-Delta due to his selfless sacrifices, struggle and agitation for the emancipation and development of the region and its people.
He said Tompolo’s name and his agitations in the Niger-Delta have brought great infrastructural and human capital development to the region and will never be forgotten in the history of humanity, as his name has already been written in gold that can never be erased.
He said Tompolo’s name would always be called alongside great men like late Isaac Adaka Boro and Ken Saro – Wiwa, as a living hero and the pride of Niger Delta Region.
He called on all traditional rulers, chiefs, community leaders, youths and the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Niger Delta Region and Nigerians in general to join in congratulating and felicitating with Tompolo on his birthday on April 12, 2020.
