Widow, Lover Found Dead In Bed In Ebonyi

    Two lovers, Mr. Ifeanyi Nwokwu and a widow, Mrs. Nkechinyere Ezeka Ucha, were on Monday night (January 13th) strangled to death by suspected assassins at Umuezeoka Umueze Ezza Effium community in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state.

    Ifeanyi about 44 years and Nkechinyere 33 were discovered in a room with blood gushing out of their mouths and noses.

    It was learnt that two men were said to be fighting over the widow who was believed had preferred Ifeanyi who has more money and younger than his rival.

    NIGER DELTA TODAY Online gathered that Ifeanyi was said to have taken Nkechinyere to his new compound where he promised to give her an apartment after building the house.

    Both of them were found dead on a bed in the room which he was supposed to allocated to Nkechinyere at the completion of the building.

    The section housing the room where their lifeless bodies were found was said to have been completed.

    The deceased lifeless bodies were locked inside the room by their killers.

    Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Loveth Odah who confirmed the incidents, said one person have been arrested in connection to the killing of the two lovers.

    “Yes, there was a report that two persons, a married man and a widow were found inside a room in Umuezeoka Umueze Ezza Effium community in Ohaukwu local government area.

    The Ohaukwu DPO visited the scene and corpses have been deposited in Izziamgbo General Hospital mortuary.

    “One man has been arrested whom Ifeanyi had land with. The case have been transferred to state CID for investigation, it happened around 9pm on 13th January investigation is on very soon we will unravel those behind it”, She said.

    Meanwhile, the coordinator, Effium Development Centre (EDC), Hon. Sunday Agbo, has expressed sympathy over the death of the widow left behind her late husband’s children.

    Agbo said that some persons have been arrested and believed that the police will use their eagle eyes to track the hoodlums.

    “The incident that led to the death of Ifeanyi Nwokwu and Nkechi Ucha is quite unfortunate. I sympathize with the families over their untimely death from such mysterious circumstance.

    “I also want to urge the people not to take laws into their hands as security agents have waded into the matter, even as investigation is on to gear to unravel the circumstances that led to their death”, he added.
