The BEDC Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) has given reasons why customers in its franchise states of Delta, Edo, Ondo and Ekiti are experiencing poor power supply.

The company said the nation’s power sector is experiencing power supply disruption as a result of low power generation hence the shortfall in electricity to the homes of their customers.

A statement by BEDC management on Thursday regretted the development.

It, however, assured that there will be improved power supply once the generation of electricity picks up in the national grid.

“BEDC Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers across the coverage areas of Delta, Edo, Ekiti and Ondo states that the nation’s power sector is experiencing power supply disruption as a result of low power generation which has caused significant reduction in the quantum of power transmitted for onward supply to electricity customers.

“We regret the disruption in electricity our customers may experience as a result of this power shortage. We assure you that power supply will improve as generation of electricity picks up in the national grid.
