Why I Took Three Contractors To Meet With Buhari – Fr Mbaka

Fiery catholic priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has admitted taking three contractors to Presidential Villa to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari during his first term.

The cleric said the contractors were security experts who claimed they help the Buhari-led government to solve the nation’s worsening security.

He said he only handled them to the Presidency because he was concerned about the rising security challenges currently bedeviling the country.

Mbaka, who was among the few cleric that foresaw and supported Buhari to victory in the 2015 general election, had recently said God was angry with President Buhari over his position on the rising insecurity in the country.

The outspoken catholic priest also said he no longer support the APC-led government and asked Buhari to resign or be impeached for not doing enough to tackle widespread insecurity in the country.

However, Mbaka’s call for Buhari’s resignation or impeachment, forced the Presidency to accused him that the fiery cleric was after the President because the Federal Government declined to give him contracts, he had earlier sort for.

But Fr Mbaka while reacting to the allegation by the President’s spokesman, Shehu Garba, during Sunday mass in Enugu, the cleric admitted leading three security contractors to meet with the Buhari’s government on area of security.

According to him, “Yes, I led three security experts to the Presidency who offered to help salvage the security situation in Nigeria.

“I don’t know them, but they came to Enugu and pleaded for me to link them to government because of the level of insecurity and how Nigeria has been moving oil outside the country. These are the three people they rejected their offer.

“I am happy that the truth was hitting them. We are not afraid of them. Buhari cannot do it again; health and age are not on his side.

“We need a stronger and an experienced goalkeeper in a time like this. If they want to put it that it was because of contract, let them come and build the highest university here and begin to mess up, I will still speak.”

He also condemned attacks from the Presidency, saying that anybody attacking him for the message he preached was wasting his time.

The preacher demanded for urgent step to tackle the worsening security challenges rather than critics of the current government.
