The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, has been suspended from the party.

Oshiomhole, immediate past governor of Edo State, was suspended by the state chapter of the party on Tuesday.

He suspension was contained in a statement signed by the party’s State Chairman , Anselm Ojezua and Assistant State Secretary, Ikuenobe Anthony.

According to the party, Oshiomhole was suspended for allegedly fueling the crisis in the state chapter of the party.

The statement added that the decision followed the vote of no confidence passed on Comrade Oshiomhole by the chairmen of the APC in the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Edo State.

They said the decision was necessary to prevent a repeat of what happened in Zamfara State, where the party was unable to field any candidate in elections.
