Following the backlash that greeted a recent photo of Senator James Manager (Delta South) knelling down before former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, while praying for the Senator and members of his delegation, a video of the visit has emerged.
In the video, Ibori was seen praying in his Urhobo Language and pidgin for his guests and other persons at the meeting.
Aside Manager who knelt down during the prayer in line with Urhobo tradition, other members of the delegation including a serving commissioner in the senator’s team also knelt down.
Ibori, while speaking during the visit, said his friendship with Senator Manager has come a long way.
He added that the prayer he offered to his principal visitor was from his of heart because of their longstanding relationship.
Manager had visited the former governor who is very influential in the politics of Delta to officially inform him of his desire to contest the 2023 governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
Manager currently represents Delta South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
