Warri, Uvwie, Asaba, Others Record 17 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Delta

The Delta State Government has confirmed additional 17 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total in the state to 74.

According to the figures released late Friday night disclosed that the new cases were recorded in six local government areas of the state.

The cases were recorded in Warri, Uvwie, Asaba (Oshimili South),  Ethiope West, Aniocha South and Oshimili North areas of the state.

The figures revealed that Uvwie LGA has four new cases bringing her total number of confirmed case to 11.

Warri South which has recorded the highest number of confirmed cases recorded additional case to go up to 15 confirmed cases.

Oshimili North LGA recorded additional nine cases to bring her total to 13, while Asaba (Oshimili South) recorded one more case to bring the number of confirmed cases in the council to 12.

Aniocha South recorded her index case on Friday, while Ethiope West recorded its second case.

The government also disclosed that one patient was discharged bringing the number of recoveries in the state to 15.

The state has recorded seven deaths, figures added.

52 cases are presently undergoing treatment across the various isolation centres in the state.
