By Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh

Voke Faith Egwede got enrolled in the 2017/2018 cycle of the Delta State Government’s Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Training (STEP.) She hails from Ughelli North Local Government Area and is the CEO of Jazz Stitches. She is a Brown STEP beneficiary who became a job creation trainer five months after establishment with starter pack. She shares her testimony.

“Before I enrolled for Brown STEP, I was sewing at home with one machine and I did not have many clients. Fortunately, I was successfully enrolled, re-trained and established through STEP.

“Now I have a large fashion shop. I have lots of clients, sell fabrics, make fascinators and have become a job creation trainer. As I speak, I have acquired two industrial sewing machines and 14 manual ones from the business. I have trained 96 persons and have four employees.

“I have bought a plot of land. From the proceeds also, I attended a two-month fashion training abroad. STEP is a life changer. God bless Governor Okowa because he made all these possible.”
