A former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has expressed deep sadness over the death his deputy, Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama SAN.
Uduaghan, who ruled Delta from 2007 to 2015, described Utuama as being more than a deputy governor to him.
According to him, Prof Utuama was his adviser and elder brother during his administration as Delta governor.
Utuama, who served under Uduaghan as deputy, died on Saturday at the age of 77.
But reacting to the demise of his deputy on Saturday, Uduaghan noted that Utuama’s death was a huge blow to him.
While paying tribute to the deceased, Uduaghan said, “I am beyond saddened by the death of my Deputy and ally, Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama. He was more than a deputy. He was my friend, adviser and elder brother.
“Your death is more than a huge blow to me, my family and our dear state.”
