Urhobo Democratic Assembly UDA led by her President Olorogun Paul Akpor Abu has expressed shocked on the passing of Hon Joyce Overah the Commissioner representing Sapele, Okpe and Ethiope West local government areas on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.
In the condolences message signed by the President and Secretary of the group, Olorogun Paul Akpor Abu and Evang. Ejimitovwovwon Emmanuel respectively described Rt. Hon. Joyce Overah as a notable politician of Urhobo extraction, humble, friendly and easily accessible.
The statement said, “On behalf of the Leadership and Members of Urhobo Democratic Assembly, UDA commiserate with the entire Overah family and Elume Community over the demise of their political juggernaut who has served the state and nation in various capacity.

“As a former House of Representative member, representing Sapele Okpe and Uvwie federal constituency, he was also former Commissioner for Science and Technology, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and later Commissioner representing Sapele, Okpe and Ethiope West on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC until his death, he has paid his dues.”
The group further condoled with the family of the deceased and prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed.
“Our prayers are with the entire Overah family, God will give you people the fortitude to bear this great loss”, the statement added.
