A 10-man Executives of the Governing Council of Ugborodo Community Trust with Barr. Austin Oborogbeyi as Chairman has been inaugurated for the oil-rich community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Ugborodo, which plays Chevron Nigeria Limited, made the inauguration on Saturday after a six hours selection process.
The selection process and inauguration took almost 6-hours of non-stop negotiations, Saturday by key players in the contest which was done at the residence of the Eghara-aja-in-Council together with major critical stakeholders in the community including the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami, the member representing the Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Chief Edwin Olley, Chief Mercy Olowo and Prince Perry Atete following the need to protect vested interest, hard horse-trading and even grandstanding.
On the list of the 10-man new governing trust council to run the affairs of the community for the next 3-year are Dr. Ayo Ayomike as Secretary, Mr. Austin Ajurenmisan, Vice-Chairman; Hon. Mofe Pirah as Public relations Officer. Other include Mr. Vincent Neburagho as assistant Secretary, Mr. Mike Okoturo, Treasurer, Comrade Alex Eyengho, Financial secretary; Mr. Isaac Botosan, legal adviser; Mr. Andrew Emami, Auditor and Mr. Godwin Asakpi Edah as Welfare officer respectively.

The Chairman, Barr. Austin Oborogbeyi in a brief chat with newsmen after his emergence at Ode-Ugborodo appealed for support, co-operation and understanding of well-meaning indigenes of Ugborodo to enable the exco achieve its objective of attracting the much needed development, growth and progress to the community for the benefit of all and appealed to all aggrieved persons to sheath their swords and join hands with him to take Ugborodo to the next level of infrastructural development, empowerment, employment and better life.
At the end of the ceremony there was massive jubilation by those perceived to have won the day while those who lost out wore long faces while a community leader who pleaded anonymity appealed to everyone to support the current government as it was the will of the people saying those who lost should wait for their turn because all of them cannot rule at the same time.
