The Vice Chairmen of Udu and Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday narrowly cheated death when the vehicle conveying them from an official duty in Asaba, the state capital, was involved in a ghastly accident.
The two vice chairmen are; Hon. Justice Iyasere (Udu LGA) and Hon Victor Uyoh (Ughelli North LGA).
Uyoh’s official vehicle which the victims were returning with was said to have ran into a stationary trailer by the busy Otovwodo Park in Ughelli, Delta State.
Although no death was recorded in the incident, the victims survived different degrees of injuries.
The Udu Vice Chairman, Iyasere, who broke the news of the accident on his official Facebook page, said they were fine.
According to him, “Thank God for life. Just survived a ghastly motor accident involving me and Vice Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Hon Victor Uyoh. His official car, in which we were returning from Asaba on official assignment, ran into a stationary trailer by Otovwodo park Ughelli.
“We came out alive with injuries. But we are fine. Isn’t that wonderful? Join me thank God for his mercies.”
