Tompolo’s Tantita Security Destroys Facility With 700kegs Of Stolen Crude In Ondo

In continuation of its sterling performance in tackling crude oil theft, officials of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) have discovered and destroyed a local storage facility housing over 21,000 barrels of stolen crude oil in Ondo State.

The destruction was perfected in collaboration with Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) along the Alowe seashore in Awoye, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo.

In a statement by the TSSNL Director Operations and Technical, Captain Warredi Enisuoh,  said the achievement was made possible through intelligence report from its operatives led by its commandant, Chief Idowu Asonja, on Sunday.

Captain Enisuoh said the suspected oil thieves sell adulterated crude oil to local buyers in the Illaje area of the state.

He stated that the TSSNL operatives stormed the site around 8:36 a.m. on Sunday and set the facility carrying over 700kegs of crude ablaze.

The statement noted that suspects vandalised the Trans-Extravis Pipeline located along the Western Corridor of Ondo , adding that escaped arrest with speedboats during the destruction.

“Fortunately, we met 700 kegs filled with crude oil, which is tantamount to twenty-one thousand litres of crude oil. The whole kegs with the camp/store were set ablaze. Also, we met two wooden boats filled with crude oil, and all were destroyed,” the statement added.

The statement further added that the Tantita Commandant urged the community to desist from “stealing the nation’s source of income,” but rather support the private firm in the war against crude oil theft and saboteurs.

Adding, the statement said, “The commandant, after the successful operation warned the community dwellers to desist from destroying or stealing the nation source of income, also urged and persuaded them to support the Tantita Security service in this struggle against the oil thefts and destroyers of the federal government resources.

“They were warned them seriously against the Pipeline vandalism, oil thefts and adulteration of national crude oil, because ‘Tantita Operation No Mercy’, is a crusade against the anti-government individuals or body or groups.”
