Suspected Yahoo Boy Crushes Bus Driver To Death In Delta

An unidentified Bus driver was on Monday crushed to death for scratching a car belonging to a “yahoo boy”, simply identified as Boyi, in Ibusa, near Asaba, the Delta State capital.

It was gathered that the bus driver crashed a side of Boyi’s car in Asaba while leaving the Park for Ibusa with passengers.

It was learnt that the bus driver immediately alighted from his bus to beg the Yahoo boy who was furious over the little dent on the car.

Other drivers and passengers at the motor park were said to have joined the ‘erring’ bus driver to beg for forgiveness, but instead the yahoo boy pounced on the bus driver, demanding for the repair of his car.

It was further gathered that the matter was amicably resolved as both parties went their separate ways, but the car owner was not satisfied with the settlement, and thus trailed the bus driver to Ibusa, his last bus stop.

 At the Ibusa bus stop, the bus driver reportedly knelt down on the road to plead for forgiveness again, but it fell on Boyi’s deaf ears and he quickly entered his car and crushed the bus driver to death.

Miffed by the killing of the bus driver, the family of the deceased reportedly took the lifeless body to the family compound of the yahoo boy.

When Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya,  confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect has been arrested.
