Those who feel only President Mohammadu Buhari makes blunders of introducing party candidates were shocked in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Wednesday when a youthful student union leader in the state committed same blunder as Buhari.
At a press conference by Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs to flag-off his campaigns ahead of March governorship elections, a student union leader who came on the podium to sing Dumo’s praises and express Rivers students support referred to the Rivers Accord Party governorship candidate as “our Presidential Candidate”
Shocked by the drama, the disappointment gathering of teeming supporters and party faithful in attendance booed the fumbling student union leader in unison before correcting in chorus, “Governorship candidate, not Presidential you fake student”
Dumo Lulu Briggs, in his agenda for governorship said incumbent Governor Nyesom Wike’s focus on constructing buildings and roads which has earned him the tag, Mr. Projects in Rivers has failed to rescue the state from its current status as Nigeria’s capital of poverty and political killings.
He told the Rivers people, “My agenda is focused on building people and creating wealth. Forget. Mr. Projects, supports my agenda and when I take over Government House in Port Harcourt, you will then know me as Mr. Jobs.
