South-West Governors, Federal Lawmakers In Closed Door Meeting In Abuja

Barely 24 hours after Southern governors met in Lagos, Governors and federal lawmakers from the South-West region are currently in a closed door in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The meeting is holding at Imo Hall in Transcorp Hilton hotel, Abuja, commenced around 8:15pm on Tuesday.

At the meeting are the governors of Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo and Osun State.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo is presiding at the meeting being attended by several federal lawmakers from the zone.

Wife of APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi, said the opening prayer at the meeting.

It was gathered that the meeting was called to discuss the recently passed Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) and the Electoral Act Amendment Bill which is now in advancement stage.
