South East Governors Forum has resolved to meet with President Muhammad Buhari on Thursday over the welfare of Ndigbo.
Chairman of the forum, Engr. David Umahi, disclosed this on Monday after a meeting of the body as held behind closed doors in Enugu.
Others who attended the meeting included Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Senator Jim Nwobodo, Senator Victor Umeh and, religious leaders.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and his Abia State counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu were also in attendance in the meeting which had discussion on the welfare of the Ibos as its major highlight.
Speaking after the meeting that lasted for about 4 hours, Governor Umahi said that they have resolved to meet with President Muhammahu Buhari on the welfare of Ndi-Igbo.
A statement by Francis Nwaze Special Assistant the Governor on Media, quoted Umahi, saying that the Governors noted that the full details of their meeting will be made available after their meeting with the President on Thursday.
