The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Okakuro Ede Dafinone, has described as a great loss the passage of a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun (Hon.) Eme Mukoro.
Mukoro, a notable chief of Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, passed on Tuesday after a brief illness in Lagos.
Senator Dafinone, who expressed shock and sadness over the death of Mukoro, commiserated with the family, his wife (Mrs. Obukome Elaine Ibru-Mukoro), Otughievwen community and the people of Ughievwen Kingdom.
The Delta Central lawmaker in a condolences message to Eme Mukoro’s family, also condoled with the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State where the late former lawmaker was a founding member.
Senator Dafinone said; “It’s with profound sorrow that I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Olorogun Engr. Eme Mukoro on the passing of our esteemed brother, father, and leader.
“Olorogun Engr. Eme Mukoro, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and a distinguished chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was a committed figure in our community whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the political landscape of Delta State.
“His dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the development of Ughelli South Local Government were exemplary. Olorogun Engr. Eme Mukoro was a man of integrity, vision, and compassion, whose advocacy for the people of Delta State will be remembered and cherished for a very long time.
“In this time of grief, I join the people of Delta Central Senatorial District in mourning the loss of a great Urhobo son. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, particularly his wife, Chief (Mrs) Obukome Elaine Ibru-Mukoro, friends, and colleagues. May the Almighty grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“Olorogun Engr. Eme Mukoro’s legacy of service, dedication, and love for his community will continue to inspire us all.
