Saraki, David Mark, Others Attend PDP BoT Meeting As Wike Makes Surprise Appearance

The meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently ongoing at the National Headquarters Wadatta House in Abuja.

The meeting is coming on the heels of the crisis currently rocking the leading the opposition party in the country.

In attendance at the meeting being held under tight security included the immediate past President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his predecessor, Senator David Mark.

Also at the meeting is the BoT Chairman of the party, Senator Walid Jibrin; former Senate President, Adolphus Wagbara, Senator Abdul Ningi, among others.

However, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, made a surprise appearance at the meeting.

Serving Governors are not members of the BoT in line with the party’s constitution.

It was not clear if Governor Wike was invited for the meeting as chieftains of the party will be discussing the internal crisis in the party.
