Armed men have reportedly killed two persons in Bera, Gokana local government area of Ogoniland, Rivers state.
The traditional ruler of the community, Magnus Dekor, who disclosed this Monday linked the incident to suspected gang clash.
Dekor said, “Unknown gunmen stormed the community this (Monday) morning and started shooting sporadically, resulting in death of two persons”
He said two others sustained injuries, urging the state government and security agencies to come to the community’s rescue.
Nnamdi Omoni, Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers Command, was yet to respond to media enquiry in the incident at the time of filing this report.
