The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the Deputy National Secretary of the party, Mr. Victor Giadom.
It was gathered that Giadom’s suspension was okayed by a faction loyal to Senator Magnus Abe, an ally of the suspended national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The party said Giadom was suspended for alleged acts of gross infractions against the APC’s constitution.
The acting Rivers chairman loyal to Abe’s faction, Mr Igo Aguma, confirmed the development.
Aguma, who spoke through his Media Adviser, Livingstone Wechie, said Giadom’s suspension followed a report of a fact-finding committee set up by the party investigated breach of the party’s constitution.
He said: “The committee recommended that Victor Giadom be immediately suspended from the party and every party activities for his numerous infractions of the Party Constitution and conduct, which have brought the Party irredeemable disrepute.
“That Victor Giadom should immediately write a letter of apology to the party and same should be published in three national Newspapers.
“The Committee report which was presented to our state Executive Committee meeting was accepted and adopted as the position of the APC in Rivers state”.
