Rev Waive Pays Glowing Tribute To Late Wife Of Archbishop Avwomakpa

The member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive has paid a glowing tribute to late Pastor (Mrs.) Victoria Avwomakpa.

Mrs. Avwomakpa died last Friday at the age of 68 after battling undisclosed ailment for years.

She was the wife of the immediate past chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, South South, Archbishop God-Dowell Avwomakpa.

Waive in a statement described the late cleric as a true example of a Christian woman who treated all that come across her with love and humility.

The lawmaker, while condoling with the Avwomakpa family and the Delta State Christian community, observed that the deceased lived a virtuous life worth emulating.

He thanked the husband, Archbishop Avwomakpa, for standing solidly behind his wife during her prolonged time of ailment.

Waive’s tribute read, “News of the home call of Mama Victoria Avwomakpa, mother in Israel and wife of our father Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa reached me with sadness. But the Apostle Paul admonishes that to be with Christ is far better.

“Mama Victoria Avwomakpa has been a lifelong example of Christian womanhood and motherhood as she treated all of us like her biological children.

“Her husband, our father, the Archbishop treated her with respect, dignity and love even during her prolonged illness giving the younger generation an example to follow.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saint. We shall see Mama on the resurrection morning.

“My condolences to our father Archbishop Avwomakpa, the children and immediate family, Christ Missionaries Crusaders Church as well as the entire Body of Christ.”
