Christians have been advised to reject the spirit of impatience, which is synonymous with the spirit displayed by Prophet Elisha’s servant, Gehazi, in their service to God.
Kid evangelist, Prophet Chigozie, gave the admonition in a message he titled “Receiving the Mantle” on Sunday at Mercy City, headquarters of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Effurun, Delta state.
Chigozie said many Christians failed in their work with God due to impatience in their expectations for material things, as Gehazi did in 2 Kings 5:21-27, which leads them astray.
Quoting the Bible book of 2 Kings 2:1-14, he emphasized on the faithfulness of Elisha in his work with his master, Elijah and advised Christians to reject the spirit of Gehazi and choose that of Elisha.
“To receive double or triple portion of anointing from spiritual fathers as Elisha did, Christians must be obedient and faithful to God and adhere to instructions of their spiritual leaders”, he said.
