Popular Delta Pastor, Dr. Leigh Of Father’s House Allegedly Dies Of COVID-19


The founder and senior pastor of Father’s House Bible Church in Effurun, Delta State, Pastor (Dr.) Richmond Leigh, is dead.

NIGER DELTA TODAY Online learnt that the popular pastor died on Friday after contracting the dreaded coronavirus.

He was said to be briefly sick before he passed at an undisclosed hospital in Warri on Friday.

Sources close to the family confided on our correspondent that the cleric had allegedly fallen ill after noticing COVID-19 symptoms.

He was said to have been immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital when his health became more critical on Wednesday.

“He died of coronavirus. He was illed for just about 48 hours”, the source added.

The General-Overseer, it was gathered, had warned members of his congregation that coronavirus is real and urged them strictly adhere to the relevant health protocols.

It was further gathered that his wife has been isolated for the COVID-19.

A top member of the church said, ” It was so heartbreaking because this man was warning us about coronavirus. He told us that virus is real. The wife is in isolation as we speak.

The church is yet to issue any statement on the demise of the cleric.
