PIA: Niger Delta Militant Groups Exonerate NNPC Upstream Boss, Adokiye, Of Any Wrongdoing  


The RNDA, with the coalition of Nine Militant groups from the Nine States of the Niger Delta region, has exonerate the Chief Operating Officer Upstream NNPC, Engr Adokiye Tombomieye of wrongdoings in the controversy over the 3 percent provisions for the Host Communities Trust Fund in the Petroleum Industry Act. 

Some Niger Delta groups, had in various statements issued last month, alleged that the 3 percent provision for oil producing communities included in the PIA was allegedly masterminded by the Chief Operating Officer, Upstream of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Adokiye Tombomieye due to his professional advice to the National Assembly Committee, which was a false allegation far from the truth masterminded by some group of corrupt minded personalities from the region.

But the RNDA, in a statement issued in Warri and signed by the Commanding Officer of the group, Johnmark Ezon-Ebi Obama, in an emergency meeting held in Delta state, Mr. Adokiye Tombomieye, who is the Chief Operating Officer, Upstream of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is not involved in any of such unfounded act.

According to the group, preliminary investigation into the hullabaloo that led to the provision of 3 percent for Host Community Trust Fund in the PIA showed that Mr. Adokiye, an Ijaw son from Kalabari kingdom in Rivers State, does not have any role in what led to the approval of 3 percent in the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) as allegedly claimed by some groups.

The RNDA described the allegation leveled against Engr. Adokiye who is a bonafide son of Niger Delta as a lie from the pit of hell and condemnable.

“Mr Adokiye does not have any hand in the passage of the PIB Bill and was never a member of the National Assembly committee on PIB Bill and has never been involved in any corrupt practice or shady oil deals neither involved in any fraudulent financial misappropriation activities at the NNPC management”, the group said.

The RNDA Militant group warned those group of persons who are being sponsored to peddled such unfounded mischievous diminishing false allegations to desist from such devilish inhuman act or else, the RNDA with other Agitating Militant groups in the region will be forced to declare them wanted and tag them as enemies to the peace and development of the region, and there evil plots to marlin, blackmail and to dent the image of Engr Adokiye to the mud is already known before the public.

The group called on the people of the Niger Delta region region with the management of NNPC and the presidency to disregard the purported planned protest march over the PIA issue, “We call on all and sundry with the presidency to ignore and disregard any of such frivolous statements and petitions which are sponsored by some group of criminally corrupt minded personalities that is out to dent the image of Mr. Adokiye Tombomieye the Chief Operating Officer Upstream NNPC and trying to drag his name to the mud.

Engr Adokiye Tombomieye has worked hard tirelessly to brought about transformational policies and programs of transparency accountability and sustainability mechanism which has drive the NNPC management to a speedy growth that has added massive economic value to the GDP of our country revenue support base and it is also on record that when Mr Adokiye Tombomieye was in charge of crude oil movement as the GGM crude then at the NNPC Tower, the Nation crude oil production was stable and high as to 2.6 to 2.8 million barrels daily without any shortfall in the daily crude oil production data.

” As we speak, it is also on record that Mr Adokiye Tombomieye innovative ideas has reshaped transformed, re positioned and sanitized the upstream sector since he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer Upstream at the NNPC, which has added a lot of value to the nation oil and gas sector, for tirelessly working round the clock in line with the group managing director NNPC Engr Mele Kyari TAPE five point agenda off wish has transparently transformed the Nation oil and gas industry in the country to efficient service delivery.

At this juncture the RNDA with the coalition of other nine militant groups that are in support of President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC federal government that have continued to maintained and sustained the relative existing peace in the creek of the region want to use medium to unanimously pass an equivocally a vote of confidence on Engr Adokiye Tombomieye the Chief Operating Officer Upstream NNPC for his outstanding excellence sterling credible Leadership qualities for efficient service delivery in the nation oil sector.

” To this end the RNDA condemned in totality such unfounded diminishing mischievous alleged misinformed false allegations and frivolous petitions to dent the good image of our brother and leader from the Niger Delta region in the person of Engr Adokiye Tombomieye, they have been warned to desist from such wicked devilish act henceforth, or else the RNDA with the other Agitating Militant groups in the creek will be forced to declare war Against such group of persons in the region and will be tagged as enemies to the President Buhari’s government. 

” Enough is enough of such unfounded mischievous diminishing outrageous devilish inhuman false allegations and cheap blackmail that is positioned to pull down our brothers who are serving in one position or the other in this Administration, we are not going to fold our hands and allow such persons who are enemies of progress that are corrupt minded fellows to destroy the good name of Mr Adokiye Tombomieye, a word is enough for the wise”, it further added.
