His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Okumagba, Okumagba ll, has been crowned as the new Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area of the of Delta State.
Okumagba ll, a member of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, was crowned on Monday bringing to an end the over one year vacancy in the traditional stool.
His emergence followed the demise of the Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, HRM Prof. Paul Oghenero Okumagba, Idama II.
Idama II, a Professor at the Sociology Department of the Delta State University, Abraka, joined his ancestors in July 2019.

The new Urhobo monarch was crowned by the kingdom’s oldest kingmaker, High Chief George Amurun, JP, at the Palace in the presence of other kingmakers and traditional chiefs in line with Urhobo tradition.
Okere-Urhobo is one of the two Urhobo Kingdoms in the Warri, the commercial centre of Delta State. The other kingdom is Agbarha-Warri Kingdom.
