The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Friday, inaugurated the National Campaign Council for Kogi and Bayelsa States.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed November 16 for the governorship election in the two states.
The governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru, is heading the 56-member committee for Bayelsa.
There are other nine governors on the committee.
The Kaduna state governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, is heading the 56-member committee for Kogi State, which includes six other governors.
Oshiomhole urged all APC governors to be ready to work for the victory of the party.

He stressed that the votes of people, especially, in Bayelsa must count this time for the first time.
He described the APC candidate, David Lyon, as the best for the state as he had been fighting and championing Niger Delta interests.
He said, “The people need somebody who understands them and has lived with them. Somebody that even without a story of the dynasty can rise to become governor.
“We know the people of Bayelsa want a change. God’s willing the change will come November 16.
“This time, the votes must count because Bayelsa is not used to vote counting.”
On Kogi, the national chairman said the state would be better for it if Governor Yahaya Bello was returned for a second term.
“We are proud of what he has achieved. The benefit of continuity is that it allows to correct errors of the past and improve on your successes.”
Responding, El-Rufai said the committee members would relocate to Kogi to organise and reconcile members.

“With a focus of unity and purposes, we will deliver Kogi this time with a wider margin.
“I will ask members of the committee to relocate to Kogi until the Peoples Democratic Party’s coffin is nailed and buried,” he said.
Also speaking, Badaru who was represented by the Kano governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, said the time was ripe to take over the government in Bayelsa state.
