Over the years, I have fairly been an influencer from this part of Nigeria, with verifiable track record and a natural traffic of friend requests. However, before I add anyone as a friend on any of my social media platforms, I always double check the person’s profile, in search of shared views, ideas and other possible commonalities of interest.
Interestingly, one of the most stunning things I find is that most of the people I meet have a notion of either ‘hating politics’ or expressed something similar in their political views section of their profiles. Though, I’m not here to discuss the many reasons why they detest politics in this clime, nevertheless, whatever their views, what is undeniable is that politics does matter in our everyday lives, and I believe as an advocate of youth inclusiveness in governance, there are a number of reasons why we the youths of Delta State must deliberately and intentionally make ourselves relevant in the political space of the State and subsequently demand for places in governance at all levels because power is not served a la carte.
Though, in every society, there are many ways to serve the people, however, in this narrative, I will dwell on the governorship of Delta State since this is what is on the front burner of every politically conscious Deltan.
This is because as our governor, he can reach out to a lot of us, listen to us and take initiatives to advance our interests. His voice can speak for the whole State, not just because he represents us as our leader, but because he is given the opportunity to find lasting solutions our problems, regardless of our senatorial district.
When our governor truly love us, he is more likely to naturally contribute to our welfare and development through an open heart that is full of grace and a soul generated by love.
In Delta State just like any other State in Nigeria, it is expected that positive changes should be made when men with track record of excellence, decides to govern their people. And in these situations, it is the views and actions of altruistic men above others that matter most in driving positive changes. Because it is with such position that he holds he ultimate uses to bring about massive positive change across the State.
Meanwhile, the beauty of democracy is for the leader and the followers to feel positively great with infrastructures that yields positive development for all, regardless of whatever part of the State one hails from. It is not for a few individuals who have sworn to milk the State dry to the detriment of the poor masses.
If a leader without character, competence, accessibly, track record of excellence, altruistic intentions, youth inclusiveness, gets elected, the poor masses of the State, will be at the receiving end. So, it is left for us to choose that credible man, who has a large heart and altruistic intentions towards the overall development of the tripod of Delta North, South and Central Senatorial Districts, respectively.
The next governor of Delta State is a pathfinder who has successfully built bridges with his personality across the three senatorial districts of the State.
In my view, since I’ve served as pioneer Chief Press Secretary to Sapele LGA Council, and Personal Assistant to two members of the Federal House of Representatives at different times, I have had the privilege to under study and interface with political leaders across the three senatorial districts of the State and have come to the conclusion that the man who will succeed the current SMART Governor of Delta State, Sen.(Dr.) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, is an astute political pathfinder, an outstanding political bridge builder and a detribalised Deltan with a track record of excellence. He is a man that has successfully built bridges across the three senatorial districts of the State through his personality and political ejaculations over time. He is a reliable and forthright man of good standing with the youths. And is willing and ready to operate a youth inclusive government.
Finally, his contributions to the growth and development of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and Delta State is visible and verifiable to Deltans. My dear esteemed Deltans, I am pleased to inform you that the man to succeed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, is from Delta Central Senatorial District, and enjoys the support and blessings of not just the Urhobo Progressive Union, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but also the blessings and support of the incumbent, Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa.
