Opinion: COVID-19 Stimulus: Who Determines The Poorest Of The Poor?

By Helen Oba

I read that these irresponsible leaders said they are transferring monies to the poorest people in Nigeria.

Who are the poorest people? In a country estimated to be about 200m, 95m+ are poor, not just poor, extremely poor.

Some live below $1 a day; What was the Data and statistics used to know and identify the poorest people.

80% of Nigerian earn less than $1 in a day. If that is not poverty or outright wretchedness then I don’t know what it is.

For years they have been dishing out the stupid tale, that they have been transferring money, the Abacha loot repatriated, to the poorest of the poor.

I have been to the local areas, and in my village, I have met real poor people, and not one of them have knowledge of such payment.

There has been massive looting during a time of abundance, but for freaking sake, there is an epidemic ravaging the world right now.

How can these people still decide to loot and deceive their citizens at this time?
What sort of ungodly human beings without conscience are these?

How do they sleep at night feasting on the blood of innocent people? How do they do this? I saw a lady weeping today, why because she had nothing to eat and the lock down came.

I was at home yesterday afternoon, when a lady holding a little child came knocking on my gate. When I opened, she said, “Aunty, help me with food, my pikin and me never eat since last night.”

I had chills and since I couldn’t give the already cooked food because you don’t know if the person has an underlying illness, I went inside and packaged garri, beans, and rice for her, gave her cornflakes to go feed the baby.

That is the story of so many people right now, and these mindless retards are spewing gibberish that they are transferring money to the poorest of the poor.

Is such a lady not entitled to the so called money Apparently, a section of the country is the poorest of the poor. These people we call leaders will pay for their atrocities, if not today, certainly in the future and if they don’t their children will pay for it.

Nonsense evil monsters, how can people consider such ideas at this time? These people stink to high heavens, and the rottenness is nauseating and disgusting.

Someone tweeted yesterday that the items Jack Ma sent to Nigeria are being sold. There are about 131 cases now in Nigeria, and if you check the names, majority, if not all, are from the elite class.

As an average Nigerian, what you owe yourself is nothing than to stay safe. From the actions of these government, I am seeing, if poor people begin to get infected with this virus, such will be on their own.

Stay safe everyone!!
