A boat carrying electoral materials and ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to riverine areas of Ilaje Local Government Area in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election has capsized.
The wooden boat carrying no fewer than twenty persons capsized owing to overloading, a source to NIGERDELTATODAY.
It was not clear if any casualty has been recorded in the incident.
Local divers are said to be making efforts to rescue the victims.
