The three major contenders and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election have respectively won their polling units.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and candidate of the APC who voted at unit 6 Ward 5, Isokun, Ijebu Owo, polled 413 votes to defeat his opponents.
The results were announced by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the unit.
According to the result, the candidate of the PDP, Eyitayo Jegede, polled 12 votes while the candidate of the ZLP, Agboola Ajayi, had zero vote.
However, PDP candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, won his Igbogin/Isikan Ward 2, unit 9 election.

He polled 220 votes against 60 recorded by Governor Akeredolu of the APC.
The candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, Agboola Ajayi, got seven votes.
Similarly, the governorship candidate of ZLP and Deputy Governor of Ondo, Ajayi, won his polling unit in Kiribo in the Ese Odo LGA.
Agboola won the Apoi Ward II, Unit 004, Idumado Quarters, Kiribo after polling 395 votes.
Akeredolu, according to the result scored 13 votes while his PDP rival Jegede, secured five votes.
