Olorogun Egbo Promises More Development For Ughelli North Communities

The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council in Delta State, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, has promised to ensure grassroots in the council receives development and the dividends of democracy under his administration.

 

Egbo, a lawyer, also promised to collaborate with departmental heads in the council to accelerate development in the area.

 

The Ughelli North Council chairman made the promise on Thursday while receiving the newly posted council treasurer, Mrs. Mercy Morkah, and Head, Works Department, Engr. David Owaniyi, at his office in Ughelli.

 

Olorogun Egbo, while congratulating them for their posting to the council, emphasised the need for collaboration in the council to ensure the grassroots receives the benefits of democracy.

 

He stressed the importance of honesty and the application of their expertise in their respective roles, which he believes will significantly contribute to the ongoing development of the local government area.

 

In response, the new Council Treasurer, Mrs. Morkah, commended the council chairman for the reception accorded her and the Head of Works Department, promising to work with his administration to deliver more development for the council.

She expressed their commitment to working diligently alongside the Chairman to foster growth and development in the Council.
