Okowa Loses Another Appointee As Isoko Top Female Politician Dies

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has again loss another appointee to the cold hands of death as a top female politician in the state, Hon. (Mrs.) Catherine Ilolo, is dead.

Mrs.  Ilolo was a member of the State Local Government Service Commission until her demise on Monday night.

She was a former lawmaker at the State House of Assembly who represented Isoko South Constituency 1 in 1991.

 The deceased, who hailed from Oleh in Isoko South LGA of the state, passed on after a brief illness at Oleh.

She was aged 60.

“She returned from Asaba and had gone to the hospital with the husband on Monday, but died at night,” a source disclosed.

Hon. Ilolo was appointed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, alongside four others in July 2019, to represent Delta South in the Commission.

Her demise comes two weeks after another Okowa appointee, a commissioner in the State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon Joyce Overah, also passed on.
