Obaseki Vs Ize-Iyamu: Edo Residents Storm Polling Centres As Voting Commences

The much anticipated governorship election in Edo State is now underway as voters besieged various voting centre to cast their votes.

Our correspondents report that there is large turnout of voters across the state.

Voting is said to have commenced in most parts of the state.

Voting has started in Benin, Agenebode, Uzzebba, Igueben, Auchi, Ososo, Ekpoma, Jattu, and Ughoton where our reporters are currently monitoring the exercise.

NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online also observed high presence of security operatives in the polling stations.

It was gathered that most voters are violating the COVID-19 protocols by not wearing facemasks and maintaining social distances.

There is high level of compliance with restriction movement across the state.
