Nigeria’s #COVID19 Cases Hit 33,616, Death Toll Now 754

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria on Tuesday hit 33,616 following 463 fresh cases of the virus recorded in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated this on its website while confirming the new cases.

It said the country as at on Tuesday has tested 186,309 samples of which 33,616 samples came back positive during test.

It disclosed that 13,792 patients have recovered from the disease after undergoing treatment, while 754 deaths had been recorded since its outbreak.

NCDC disclosed further that Nigeria now currently has 19,070 active cases with Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo, Rivers and Delta still topping the list of states with most infected cases.

“On the 14th of July 2020, 463 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

“Till date, 33616 cases have been confirmed, 13792 cases have been discharged and 754 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

“The 463 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (128), Kwara (92), Enugu (39), Delta (33), Edo (29), Plateau (28), Kaduna (23), Oyo (15), Ogun (14), Osun (14), FCT (12), Ondo (9), Rivers (9), Abia (8), Bayelsa (5), Ekiti (3), Borno (2)”, NCDC added.
