Nigeria’s COVID-19 Death Toll Hits 128 As Confirmed Cases Rise To 4151

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday announced that the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 128.

According to it, a total of eleven deaths were recorded.

It stated this while disclosing that 239 new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded in 14 states and the FCT Abuja on Saturday.

NCDC, in a tweet on its verified Twitter handle, said the total number of confirmed cases now stood at 4151.

Lagos recorded 97 of the new cases, Bauchi came second with 44 cases while Kano ranked third with 29 cases.

The Statement also revealed that a total of 745 patients had been discharged across the country after having tested negative to the virus.

The tweet read, “239 new cases of #COVID19; 97-Lagos 44-Bauchi 29-Kano 19-Katsina 17-Borno 7-FCT 6-Kwara 5-Oyo 3-Kaduna 3-Sokoto 2-Adamawa 2-Kebbi 2-Plateau 2-Ogun 1-Ekiti.
