Nigeria’s COVID-19 toll has risen to 1182 after 87 persons tested positive to the rampaging pandemic on Saturday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Contol (NCDC) announced this on Saturday night in its recent update on the numbers of cases in the country via its twitter handle.
According to NCDC, Lagos recorded the highest number with 33 new cases of the virus bringing its total confirmed cases to 689.
It posited that Borno had 18 cases, Osun recorded 12, Katsina got nine while Kano and Ekiti recorded four cases each.
Similarly, Edo and Bauchi recorded three new confirmed cases each, while Imo State recorded its index case.
It read, “87 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 33 in Lagos, 18 in Borno, 12 in Osun, 9 in Katsina, 4 in Kano, 4 in Ekiti, 3 in Edo, 3 in Bauchi and 1 in Imo.
“As at 11:55 pm 25th April there are 1182 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”
The tweet also revealed that 222 patients had so far been discharged while 35 deaths had been recorded as of Saturday.
