Nigeria Hits 1095 Cases After 114 Test Positive To COVID-19 In Edo, Lagos, Others

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 114 new cases of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

It stated that the number of confirmed cases in Nigeria are 1095.

NCDC disclosed this on Friday via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the new confirmed cases, Lagos State recorded the highest number with 80 new cases bringing its total number to 657.

The tweet added that Gombe State had 21 cases, five in FCT (Abuja), two in Zamfara, two in Edo while Ogun, Oyo and Kaduna States recorded one each.

It, however, disclosed that the death number had increased to 32 while discharged number now stands at 208.

“114 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 80 in Lagos, 21 in Gombe, 5 in FCT, 2 in Zamfara, 2 in Edo, 1 in Ogun, 1 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna, 1 in Sokoto.

“As at 11:30 pm 24th April there are 1095 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 208. Deaths: 32″, NCDC added.
