The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday confirmed 276 new cases of the coronavirus in the states of Delta, Edo, Lagos, Rivers and others.
It brings to 8344 confirmed cases in Nigeria.
According to the figures posted on its verified Twitter handle, the disease control body disclosed that 16 deaths were recorded on Tuesday.
It also revealed that a total of 2385 recoveries had been recorded in the country.

In the figures revealed on Tuesday, Lagos continues to top the chart with 3756 confirmed cases.
According to it, Rivers recorded 36 new cases, closely followed by Edo State which had 27 and Delta three.
Edo State presently has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the Niger Delta region while Rivers is second.
The figures revealed that Kogi and Cross River States remain the only states yet to record any case of the virus in the country.
