Sacked Senator James Manager has reacted to the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal which sacked him on Saturday as the senator representing Delta South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
Manager, who has represented Delta South in the last 16 years boasted that even if the election was conducted 50 times, he would still defeat former Delta State governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan.
The Justice O.O Onyeabo-led tribunal panel had on Saturday nullified the election victory of Senator Manager of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 23, 2019 National Assembly election in Delta South.

Justice Onyeabo, while canceling Manager’s victory, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the certificate of return earlier issued to him, and subsequently conduct a fresh election in the area within 90 days.
But Manager reacting to the judgement in a statement posted on his official Instagram handle, vowed to challenge the tribunal judgement.
The lawmaker described the judgement as a miscarriage of justice which he, however, said he was not perturbed about the judgement, noting that the tribunal erred in all fronts.
Manager boasted that he will win at the Court of Appeal.
He stated that even if the election was to be conducted 50 times between him and the former governor, Uduaghan, he will still defeat the APC candidate at the poll.
Manager said, “I have been studying the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal with my legal team for Delta South Senatorial District which sat in Asaba today (Saturday). I have also read the reaction from Dr. Emma Uduaghan (immediate past governor of Delta State).
“I want to firstly thank my dear people of Delta South Senatorial District for your show of solidarity, affection, goodwill and support at this time as always.
“I am in a small corner laughing and i remain unperturbed. This judgement is certainly a miscarriage of justice and truly the tribunal erred in all fronts . We will definitely appeal the judgement.”

While calling for calm over the judgement, the senator said the tribunal’s ruling was just a temporary setback that will be quashed at the Appeal.
“I want to urge my supporters to remain calm and patient for the outcome of our appeal for this is just a temporary setback.
“Going forward, Dr. Emma Uduaghan is well aware that if the election is conducted 50 times i will emerge victorious. Thank you and may Almighty God bless you all. We will triumph”, Manager added.
