Man Found Dead After Lodging Into Hotel With His Wife’s Salesgirl In Delta

A middle-aged man simply identified as Mr. Okpako has been found dead after he reportedly lodged into a hotel room at the Odibo Extension in the Igbudu area of Warri, Delta State.

The incident, which led to a state of pandemonium, occurred on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the deceased became unconscious hours after he reportedly checked into the hotel with a girl believed to be his wife’s salesgirl.

The deceased’s wife owned a shop at the popular Igbudu Market in Warri.

Our correspondent learnt on Wednesday that efforts by management of the hotel to revive the deceased was unsuccessful.

He was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital in the area where medical personnel confirmed him dead on arrival.

Okpako, who was identified as the chairman of Mile 2, Igbudu Market, was alleged to have consumed some sex enhancement substances.

It was alleged that the deceased had been dating the girl for sometime before the unfortunate incident took place.

It was further gathered that the girlfriend was detained by the hotel management and handed over to police operatives from ‘B’ Division in Warri.

When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.

Edafe also confirmed the arrest of the girl, adding that investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the man’s death had been launched by the command.
