The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 14 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic in Lagos and Delta States.
This brings to 288 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Nigeria.
NCDC disclosed this on Thursday in a tweet via its verified Twitter handle.
It said of the 14 cases, Lagos had 13 while Delta recorded one.
According to it, the country now has a total of seven deaths as a result of the epidemic in the country.
The new death is the case from Delta State.
” Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 13 in Lagos and 1 in Delta State.
” As at 09:30 pm 9th April there are 288 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
“Fifty-one have been discharged with seven deaths”, the statement said.
