Kidnapped Delta School Proprietor, Kogbodi Regains Freedom

The proprietor of Kogbodi International School in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Patrick Kogbodi, who was kidnapped two weeks ago has regained his freedom.

The victim, who was ambushed and abducted by arms-wielding hoodlums on Sunday September 29, 2019, was freed on Saturday evening.

A family source confirmed the released of the victim on Monday to NIGER DELTA TODAY.

NIGER DELTA TODAY had reported that Mr Kogbodi was kidnapped at about 8am of Sunday September 29 while going to church.

The source added that he was released after paying ransom amounting to millions to his captors.

Our source, who declined giving the exact amount, said the victim had been reunited with his family.

The Kogbodi International School, one of the prestigious private schools in Ughelli is owned by the victim.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr Adeyinka Adeleke, who had earlier confirmed the abduction of the school proprietor, could not be reached at the time of filing this report on Monday.

But a police source at the Ughelli Police Area Command confirmed the release of the victim.
