The abducted Vice Chiarman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Frank Esiwo Ozue, has regained freedom from his abductors.
Ozue was said to have been freed late Wednesday night after spending three days with the kidnappers.
It was gathered that the family of the Isoko North Vice chairman reportedly paid N7 million (seven million Naira) to secured his release.
NIGER DELTA TODAY Online had reported that Chief Ozue was ambushed and kidnapped by unknown gunmen along the Iwhre-Ovie/Oviri-Ogor Road in Ogor Town off the Ughelli/Evwreni section of the East-West Road on Sunday. Several sources confirmed the release of the politician who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Meanwhile, an elated Chief Ozue also took his Facebook page on Thursday morning to confirmed that he had regained his freedom from arms-wielding gunmen.
The Isoko North Vice Chairman in the post disclosed that he was kidnapped by suspected Hausa bandits operating in the area.
While thanking God for his release, he wrote “I regained my freedom from Dare devil extremists, Hausas leaving within us, Now turned Boko haram in our communities. Truly they are here.
“I will do documentary on my 4 days in captivity.”
