The Chairman, Field Operations Committee, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Henry Ofa, has facilitated with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and governor-elect, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on his victory at the last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Oborevwori, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was declared winner of the March 18 governorship by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after securing 360,234 votes to beat other contestants.
In a congratulatory statement on Thursday, Ofa described Oborevwori’s victory at the poll as overwhelming and well deserved.
The PDP chieftain also commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the state party leadership for their efforts in ensure victory for the party during the election.
“On behalf of the Delta State PDP Field Operations Committee, I heartily congratulate and commend you for ensuring the resounding victory of our party, the PDP, in the March 18 elections.
“No doubt, the success of our party is a clear attestation to your unrivaled development strides and good governance since 2015. Indeed, you have shown true commitment to the well-being of Delta State and its citizens by ensuring the success of our party.
“I also thanked the state leadership of our party and commend members of the Field Operations committee for their hard work and commitment during the campaigns”, the statement partly read.
