Guinness World Records Finally Awards Hilda Baci With Longest Cooking Title


World’s history maker, Guinness World Records, has officially announced Hilda Baci, the Akwa Ibom-born chef, as the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual.

The GWR disclosed this on Tuesday in a statement on its website, saying Hilda Baci recorded a valid 93 hours 11 minutes cooking time as against the 100hrs recorded by the chef.

According to the statement on its website, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”

A tweet on their official Twitter page also reads: “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).
