Goodnews Agbi Commiserates Gov Oborevwori Over Mother In-Law’s Death


A Special Adviser to Delta State Governor, Dr. Goodnews Agbi, has condoled with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over the passage of his mother in-law, Madam Agnes Ayetoma Ataga.

Agbi, a former governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), said the demise of the mother of the State First Lady was a great loss to the state and the Oborevwori and Ataga families.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Agbi urged the Delta first family to be consoled that the late Madam Ataga lived a fulfilled and exemplary life which are obvious in the humble lifestyle of Mrs Tobore Oborevwori.

He described the late Mama Ataga as a dependable community woman leader and compassionate mother who gave charity and contributed to the development of everyone that crossed her path.

“I received the sad news of the death of Madam Agnes Ayetoma Ataga with total dismay. I sympathize with the governor of Delta State Sheriff Oborovwori on the loss of his mother in-law and that he should have solace in the fact that Mama lived a fulfilled life.

“I know how sober the First Family of the state is at the moment for the loss of an incredible personality in the family and how she would be greatly missed, but must be consoled with the fact that Mama lived an accomplished life and has gone to rest with the Lord”.

Engr. Agbi, a renowned Isoko traditional chief, therefore prayed God to grant Delta First Family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the deceased eternal rest in God’s bosom.
