The Chief Victor Giadom-led National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Thursday June 25 for its National Executive Committee meeting at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday.
A copy of the letter obtained by our correspondent Tuesday evening was signed by Chief Giadom as Acting National Chairman.
This is coming despite an order of a High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, ordering Giadom who was until now a National Deputy Secretary of the APC, to stop parading himself as an official of the party
There has been crisis in the ruling party since an Appeal Court in Abuja affirmed the suspension of its national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
INEC acknowledged receipt of the copy of the letter obtained by our correspondent on Tuesday.
Giadom in the letter titled “Reconvening of National Working Committee Meeting” said the meeting will hold at 10am.

“While looking forward to your cooperation, please accept the renewed assurances of my highest regard.”
Some members of the NWC confirmed the authenticity of the letter to our correspondent.
The sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said the meeting has the backing of the APC governors and majority of the leaders of the APC across the six zones especially the northern region.
However, a High Court in Port Harcourt on Tuesday ordered Chief Giadom to stop parading himself as APC acting national chairman or official of the party as well as participating in activities of the party.
The order declared Tuesday by Justice C. Nwogu over a motion exparte filed by Okechukwu Ogbonna and Mac-Lord Peterson, spelt that Giadom remain suspended from the APC pending determination of motion on notice before the court.
The APC, Acting Chairman of the party in Rivers who was suspended Monday, Igo Aguma, Giadom, and Chairman, Fact Finding Committee, APC, Rivers State, were named defendants in the matter.
The court ordered Giadom restrained from participating in any “activity of the APC in whatever capacity or form or manner” based on his suspension “by APC State Executive Committee in Rivers State”.
