A former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He dumped his former party, Social Democratic Party (SDP), for the APC in Ile-Ife, his country-home.
Omisore contested the 2018 governorship poll on the SDP platform but went into coalition with the APC before the September 28 rerun.
The former deputy governor joined the APC at his polling unit in Ward 6, Moore, Ile-Ife, in the company of current Osun State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi.
He was received by mammoth crowds at the venue of the defection.
