A former governor of Bayelsa State and senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Mr. Seriake Dickson, has been declared winner of Saturday’s bye-election in the state.
Dickson defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Peremobowei Ebebi.
The former Bayelsa governor polled a total of 115,257 votes to defeat his rival, Ebebi.
The APC candidate polled a total of 17,500 votes to come second in the keenly contested bye-election.
